• When I was a little kid I enjoyed three things: painting, writing and speaking in English. I have managed to explore those three all through my career. First, I went to the School of Arts of the Universidad Nacional in Bogotá, a place in which I was free to draw, to explore materials and to play with other growing artists. I worked with photography, built installations, learned about conceptual art and painted until I discovered that my passion for words was also very strong. Next, I went to London to work and live in English. And finally, after traveling throughout Chile and Argentina I returned to my natal Bogotá, to work as a teacher and a freelance translator.
• In 2013 I finished my masters in cultural studies in Los Andes University and since then I have been writing short stories, short novels and chronicles. I still love to travel and to talk to all sorts of people. Most of them end up portrayed with words on my blog or on the pieces I publish on magazines, books or different independent media. I do not paint any more even though I would love to do it again. The thing for me is that there are wider ways to depict the beauty and the strangeness of human beings and writing is the most suitable for me now.
• I have also been an English teacher at all levels and with very much diverse groups of people: I worked for six years teaching adults from companies with Raisbeck PES. I alse served as a graduate assistant for Phd. Ofelia Ross in the class Capitalism and crisis in the twentieth century in the master of cultural studies in Universidad de los Andes and I have worked as an interpreter for the workshops conducted by English consultants for Pearson in Colombia.
• I have experience working as a content producer, a researcher and translator in the areas of pedagogy, social sciences, art and literature.
